Trampoline SafetyWe all know how popular the trampoline is to kids in this day and age it is also a great form of exercise for adults. However many of us simply go out and buy a trampoline with out thinking of safety first. We buy the trampoline but we do not take the time to buy the trampoline safety pads. With the trampoline safety pads you run less of a risk for you or your child being hurt or seriously injured when playing on the trampoline. When you buy your safety pads you have to make sure they cover the springs and the frame completely. The trampoline safety pads cannot prevent you from getting hurt or injured but it can however reduce you and your child's chances of becoming severely injured. Also you should make rules for your child when he or she is using the trampoline. For example only one child should be allowed on the trampoline at one time two at the most if they are smaller children. Also tell them never to do any tricks on the trampoline such as somersaults, or back flips, and especially cart wheels. Many children have been hurt badly trying to do cart wheels on a trampoline believe me I have had my share of injures with my children doing that, so be sure to explain to your children that the trampoline is not supposed to be used for acrobatics or showing off to their friends that it is only used to jump. Also you should always keep a close eye on your children when the yare jumping on the trampoline especially if the yare younger than age ten. Below age four it is not really safe for a child to be on a trampoline unless the parent is with them at all times. Never ever leave a child alone on a trampoline. Also it would be a good idea to put sand around the trampoline in case your child or you do fall off it. The sand will cushion the fall and prevent a serious injury just as the trampoline pads do. Also be sure to check your trampolines condition and also the condition of the safety pads. Also remember never to put the trampoline near ant trees or fences or any place a child could hit themselves and become injured. If you are unsure about the safety of the trampoline that you are going to buy you can ask the sales person at the place you are buying it, voice any complaints or concerns you have about the trampoline to them before purchasing it. You can also go online and look at the different types of trampolines and what they say about safety. After all it is you and your child's safety at risk . Always think of safety first never rush into a decision when it comes to safety. So wit hall the rules and safety items in place there is absolutely no reason at all that you and you children cant enjoy your brand new trampoline. |
